About Me

Picture of me

My name is Sean Guyon, and I am a student currently attending Rochester Institute of Technology. I am a Senior and will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Technologies with concentrations in Web Development and Database Applications. I am also pursuing a minor in music performance. I am actively seeking a full-time job after I graduate in May 2026.

From September through December 2024, I interned with Classlink as part of their OneSync Dev team. OneSync is an account management tool designed for the Education Sector. On the dev team, I was the main QA automation engineer focused mainly on automating the manual bi-weekly regression testing. To accomplish this, I had to learn how to use the testing framework Cypress. Cypress operates in TypeScript, which I quickly picked up, and runs in Node.js, which I was also unfamiliar with. Fortunately, I picked up the syntax for all of these and was able to spring right into work quickly. I balanced working 24 hours per week while continuing as a full-time student for the semester, along with some extracurricular music ensembles.

The RIT Pep Band

I participate in many extracurricular activities. I am a very active member of the RIT Pep Band, which plays at all Men’s and Women’s Home Hockey Games. I also participate in the RIT Game Symphony Orchestra, an Orchestra that plays music from video games, and the Retro Rhythm Big Band, a Jazz band that also plays music from video games, rearranged by the band’s members. These arrangements often have other popular Jazz songs spliced in. I have played the trumpet and the flute in all three ensembles, and I’m always looking for ways to improve my skills.

My Cat and Dog

I live in Saratoga Springs, NY. At home, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, as well as our dog, Paisley, and our cat, Malibu. I enjoy playing games with my friends and keep busy working at Target. At Target, I work full-time whenever possible and consistently exceed expectations. Whenever we are understaffed, the leadership there will rely on me to pick up extra tasks. I always put in my full effort and consistently receive positive feedback. They are always very glad to have me back over my breaks from school and are sad to see me go.
