About Me
My name is Sean Guyon. I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in May of 2027 with a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Technologies with concentrations in Web Development and Database Applications and a minor in Music Performance. I am actively seeking a full-time position in fullstack software or web development and engineering.
Most recently, I have been an IT consultant at WSWHE Boces. Over the summer, I have travelled to multiple school districts to assist in a variety of IT needs. I have updated management rosters, assisted in replacing and reworking networking systems, and helped troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues. I have also worked directly with school district staff to identify technical problems and implement solutions, giving me valuable experience working with real-world IT infrastructure. Through this work, I have gained a stronger understanding of network management, system maintenance, and technical support, while also developing my ability to adapt to the different needs of each school district.
From June to October of 2025, I worked as a web developer at The Thinkering Collective. I have actively participated in the planning and creation of their "ThinkerBot," an AI assistant to help education professionals grow. It comes packed with lessons to aid teachers with introducing technology into classrooms, and helps them create more engaging lesson plans to help students grow. I also wrote an algorithm to connect the user to other professionals in the Thinkering Collective, based on factors like location and interest. This project was a full, ready-to-ship package when my internship ended.
From September through December of 2024, I interned with Classlink as part of their OneSync Dev team. OneSync is an account management tool designed for the Education Sector. On the dev team, I was the main QA automation engineer focused mainly on automating the manual bi-weekly regression testing. To accomplish this, I had to learn how to use the testing framework Cypress. Cypress operates in TypeScript, which I quickly picked up, and runs in Node.js, which I was also unfamiliar with. Fortunately, I picked up the syntax for all of these and was able to spring right into work quickly. I balanced working 24 hours per week while continuing as a full-time student for the semester, along with some extracurricular music ensembles.
I live in Saratoga Springs, NY. At home, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, Paisley the dog, and Malibu the cat. I enjoy playing games with my friends and keep busy creating websites and programs for myself and my friends. Currently, my friends are starting a T-Shirt business and I have been creating the company's digital profile.
